Vikram Middukheda murder case: Police arrests one, claims to have solved the case – World Latest News Headlines

Mohali police on Thursday arrested one person and claimed to have identified others who were allegedly involved in the murder of former president of the Students’ Union of India (SOI) – the student wing of SAD, Vikramjit Singh Middukheda.

Middukheda was murdered on August 7 in Sector 71 market when he had gone to meet a realty. When Middukheda was coming out of the realtor’s office, two gunmen opened fire on him. Though Middukheda tried to flee from the spot in an attempt to escape, the gunmen opened fire on him, injuring him several times and killing him on the spot.

Police on Thursday said they finally cracked the case and claimed that the murder was committed on the instructions of Lucky Patial, a member of the Davinder Bambiha gang. Patial is currently lodged in a prison in Armenia and the process of his extradition is underway. Soon after Middukheda’s murder, a social media post was put up in the name of Bambiha gang, taking responsibility for the murder.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Satinder Singh said they had brought one Kaushal Choudhary on production warrant from Jalandhar, where he was in custody in connection with the murder of Sukhmeet alias Deputy.

The SSP further revealed that Kaushal Chaudhary was in touch with Lucky Patial and had disclosed the contacts of his associates who were declared Proclaimed Offenders (PO).

The SSP further told that in June this year, Lucky Patial had ordered two of Chaudhary’s associates Vikas Mahle and Puneet Sharma to kill Sukhmeet Deputy.

The SSP further revealed that during investigation it was found that Choudhary had killed Middukheda on August 7 with the help of his accomplices Amit Dagar, Anil alias Lath and Sajjan alias Bhola.

“We had sought production warrants for Amit Dagar and Kaushal Choudhary. We brought Chaudhary on production warrant and he is in police custody.

Police sources said Middukheda’s murder was a “vendetta murder” and that he was a victim of rivalry between the Davinder Bambiha and Lawrence Bishnoi gangs.
