Vijaya Mahadevan, a 45-year-old homemaker, recognized the significant benefits of Ayurvedic items and started making them at home for her family’s use, including Ayurvedic tooth powder and Ayurvedic soap.

A woman from Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur has inspired not one but 15 local women by making Ayurvedic products at home, earning Rs 2 lakh every month as well as providing employment prospects to 15 local women.

Vijaya Mahadevan, a 45-year-old homemaker from Thanjavur’s Srinivasapuram area, majored in BA Tamil literature. At one point, she quickly recognized the significant benefits of Ayurvedic items and began making them at home for her family’s use, including Ayurvedic tooth powder and Ayurvedic soap. ‘In response to my son’s recommendation, we initially listed Ayurvedic tooth powder for sale on our Instagram profile in 2017 called Vashikaran Veda, after realizing why to use it only on ourselves and can we sell it Though there was not much demand for tooth powder initially, the orders gradually started increasing,” said Vijaya.

He further added that apart from Ayurvedic tooth powder, there are eight different varieties of facials, flavored face packs with products including coconut oil, curry leaf powder, aloe vera gel, hair oil to stop hair fall and red tea powder are also Papaya, Banana, and Orange. Additionally, she has a home business selling groundnut oil, coconut oil and Ayurvedic baby goods. Obviously, the entrepreneur is manufacturing and selling these types of items using the ancient Ayurvedic approach India And also abroad efficiently through social media.

Furthermore, Vijaya Mahadevan said that while the basic ingredients are readily available for chemical synthesis, some of the substances that are required to make these Ayurveda medicines are available only for a limited number of seasons. ‘As a result, we produce items like Kadukai, Karumula and Avrampu in bulk after purchasing the required quantity of each. The products are produced only when they are once again available during that season as they are sold out within days of being posted,’ she claimed. We have grown 3,500 hibiscus plants and rose plants in our three acres of land to make hibiscus tea powder and hibiscus face packs and other hibiscus ayurvedic products, Vijaya said.

Meanwhile, Vijaya Mahadevan has given employment to 15 women who work here within a kilometer radius. Thus from inception to creating an employment, 15 women of the area have praised Vijaya. Vijaya Mahadevan claims that she takes her employees on tours to neighboring districts and states every year to motivate them. Apart from their monthly earnings of Rs 5 lakh, the cost of raw materials and the wages paid to the women make up the rest of the income, which ranges from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, a monthly permanent income.

Vijaya Mahadevan said, ‘The construction work of our new factory is going on. Our only thought is to use green toilets and make ayurvedic stuff naturally to get rid of chemical ingredients.
