Vijay Hazare Trophy: Abhijit Tomar, Shubham Sharma Floor Goa Rajasthan As Make It In Two

Rajasthan registered a second successive win over Goa by 84 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy here on Thursday and are at the top of the Group E table. First it was their in-form opener Abhijit Tomar who set it up, scoring a challenging 257/8 with a top-scoring 92 for Rajasthan after Goa was selected to field.

Then the left-arm spinner from Rajasthan dismissed the Goa batsmen for 173 in 42.3 overs for 5/12.

Tomar, who hit an unbeaten 104 in their win over Punjab on Wednesday, continued to pick up where he left off despite wickets falling at the other end.

Tomar hit four sixes and five fours and looked set to score his second consecutive century before falling behind by eight runs in the 46th over.

Ravi Bishnoi made the total in his innings of 20 not out off 10 balls with the help of two sixes.

Rajasthan’s left-arm spinner Shubham Sharma bowled very clever and accurate.

Sharma was backed by Ravi Bishnoi (2/47), while Aniket Choudhary claimed 3/28.
