Vijay Deverakonda promises to give ‘Dance Ikon’ contestant costumes; reveals he couldn’t afford to buy clothes for his film’s promotions – Times of India

Sensational actor Vijay Deverakonda is proving to be a star with heart in the right place. He will grace the premiere episode of the soon-to-be-launched dance reality show ‘Dance Ikon’ along with his co-star Ananya Panday and take everyone by surprise with his heartwarming gesture.

The latest teaser of Dance Ikon premiere that surfaced online a while ago shows Vijay Deverakonda revealing that he couldn’t afford to buy new clothes for his film Yevade Subramanyam’s (2015) promotions and he sought his film’s costumes with the producer’s permission.

Vijay made this revelation when host Ohmkar disclosed that Raichur Anand, one of the contestants of the show, couldn’t afford to purchase costumes for the competition.

The premiere episode will also introduce Sreemukhi, Yash Master and Monal Gajjar, the three co-owners aka mentors of the show with some zesty dance performances.

While Yash and Monal were judges in Ohmkar’s previous dance show ‘Dancee+’ as well, Sreemukhi is the latest addition now. Sekhar Master and Ramya Krishnan will judge the show. Ramya Krishnan has joined the show very recently.

Besides, ace producer Allu Aravind will grace the show as a guest and the teaser shows him shaking a leg with Florina, a young cute contestant from the show.

Dance Ikon is promising the winner of the season a chance to choreograph a Telugu hero. Talking about the show, the host and producer, Ohmkar, said, “I was excited about my debut when I was offered this opportunity, which was an absolute delight. I have designed many dance shows previously; however, this dance show will be unique, and confident that it will be an iconic show. Therefore, we have titled the show ‘Dance Ikon’. We have designed it so that this show will turn the lives of the choreographers and the participants. The winner’s choreographer would get to choreograph a song for Tollywood’s top hero, and that would be something we would announce at the finale. If you have the talent to dance, this stage belongs to you, and I’m eagerly waiting to meet all of you.”

The upcoming dance show is set to premiere on September 11 (Sunday) and this is apparently the first Telugu OTT non-fiction show that will air on TV as well.
