Director Venkat Prabhu has a distinct style of filmmaking and a film with Vijay can be a fascinating experience for the audience. Incidentally, this will be Vijay’s 68th film, whose popularity is second only to South Indian megastar Rajinikanth. His last film “Varisu” became Vijay’s first film to enter the Rs 300 crore club, making it his biggest hit of all time.

The Venkat Prabhu film’s music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, whose experiments are said to have opened the ‘era of remixes’ for Kollywood. This is the second ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay film where Yuvan Shankar Raja will be giving music after “Pudhiya Geetai” in 2003.

Venkat Prabhu has made superhit films like ‘Mankatha’, ‘Chennai 28’ and ‘Manadu’. His latest film, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual “Custody”, starring Telugu star Naga Chaitanya, was released earlier this month.
