Vidyut Jammwal on Unique Proposal to Nandita Mahtani, ‘Repelling Was an Impromptu Idea’

Actor Vidyut Jammwal is going through one of the best phases of his life. Last month, the actor got engaged to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani in a unique way. The actor proposed the fashion designer in his signature commando style. They can be seen rapping in the photo from their engagement. The couple later visited the Taj Mahal in Agra to celebrate the special occasion.

Talking about their relationship, Jamwal says, I share a wonderful bond with her (Nandita). Being in love and being committed is a great feeling. This is an amazing stage. I have been single for some time and then we decided. It was a completely sudden decision, like how my life has become. I didn’t think too much because I think if you do that, things don’t happen.”

The Commando actor says his unique style of motion was a quick thought. “I just had two days off so I decided to take him to the army camp, drop him below 150 feet and the next day we decided to go to Agra and see the Taj Mahal. It was really cool,” he says.

The actor, a firm believer in the institution of marriage, has not decided when they plan to tie the knot. “I don’t do anything I don’t believe in. We’re engaged but we have yet to decide how we’re going to get married. I don’t have a date. I don’t know when it’s going to happen But all I can say is that it’s going to be a normal wedding. I don’t like routine things so the wedding is going to be something nice and exciting.”

Jammwal doesn’t mind being stereotyped as an action hero. In fact, the actor who raised the bar with his high-octane stunt sequences took it as a compliment, “I feel very proud to be an action hero because wherever you go in the world, people will recognize you. . Everyone understands the action. This is the number one style in the world. I come from a non-film background and I am really proud of what I have achieved so far. I will continue to improve and take action in my life.”

The actor will next be seen in Sunak which will release on Disney+ Hotstar which releases later this week. This is her fifth collaboration with filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah, “Kanishk Varma (director) is a great friend and we have known each other for a while. I went to him one day and asked if he had any ideas we could collaborate on. He narrated Sanak in one line and I introduced him to Vipul. They both bonded and that’s how the film came together.”

The actor, known for doing his own action sequences, says that he is constantly thinking about how to improve himself. “When I choreograph and do an action sequence, I think of it from the perspective of the audience. I have been a spectator of great action cinema since childhood. When I am at the airport or sitting in the car or restaurant, I keep thinking about how the action sequence can be choreographed in that particular situation. I keep taking notes about the ideas and then execute them.”
