‘Victory on March 10’: Political parties express confidence in winning the assembly elections, welcome the guidelines of the Election Commission

Political parties on Saturday welcomed the announcement of the dates for elections to be held in five states by the Election Commission. The Election Commission announced that polling will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7, while results for all states will be declared on March 10.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the people will once again give a chance to the BJP to serve the state.

Shah said, “I am confident that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the people of Uttar Pradesh will give another chance to the BJP and will express their faith in the development and public welfare work done by the BJP government in the BJP.” A tweet in Hindi. “I appeal to all the workers to take our achievements to the people with full dedication,” he said.

BJP President JP Nadda expressed confidence that BJP will be victorious in all the states. He said, ‘In the coming assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party will again get the blessings of the people. BJP will return to power with a thumping majority and will take the work of service and development to new heights.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also welcomed the announcement of election dates in the state and said the BJP would return to power with an “overwhelming majority”. Voting will be held in Uttar Pradesh from February 10.

AAP leader and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that his party is ready to contest assembly elections in various states including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. AAP will contest from four states- Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the people of Uttar Pradesh will bid farewell to the BJP government. “People in Uttar Pradesh are ready to bid farewell to the BJP government. These dates will mark a major change in the state. Samajwadi Party will follow the rules, but the Election Commission should ensure that the ruling party follows these guidelines,” Akhilesh said.

BSP chief Mayawati said that party leaders have been given strict instructions to follow party discipline and model code of conduct.

BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh said that the party will contest the elections in five states with all its might and energy and form the government with a thumping majority. The elections will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.

“We call upon all BJP workers to ensure the party’s victory in all these states by following all COVID protocols,” the BJP said in a tweet.

Polling in politically important Uttar Pradesh will begin in seven phases starting from the western region and moving east. Polling will be held in the state’s 403 assembly seats in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.

Manipur’s 60 assembly seats will go to polls in two phases on February 27 and March 3, while Goa (40 seats), Punjab (117 seats) and Uttarakhand (70 seats) will vote on February 14. With the announcement of the election, the process of election has become effective in five states.
