Vicky Kaushal was recently in Delhi to launch the trailer of his upcoming movie Sam Bahadur.

Vicky Kaushal was recently in Delhi to launch the trailer of his upcoming movie Sam Bahadur. During his visit to the national caption, the actor also spent some time with the jawans of the 6 Sikh Regiment. On Friday, Vicky took to his Instagram handle and dropped a series of pictures and videos from the time he spent with the army personnel.

In one of the videos, Vicky Kaushal can be seen jumping off a fire. Another clip featured the Sam Bahadur actor competing with an army personnel. He is also seen interacting with jawans in other photos.

In the caption of his post, Vicky wrote, “Must say I got a ‘warm’ welcome by the 6 Sikh Regiment this time during my trip to Delhi for #SAMबहादुर Trailer launch! In 2018, before we started filming URI, I was trained by the 7 Sikh Regiment. Unki obstacle training drills ki yaadein taaza ho gayi… always feels great to get a pat on your back by the real heroes!”

Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. His career in the army spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Besides Vicky, Sam Bahadur also stars Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick (as Lord Mountbatten), Richard Bhakti Klein (as Ambassador Keating), Saqib Ayub (Captain Attiqur Rahman) and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela (as Subedar Gurbaksh Singh) in key roles. It also features Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Sanya Malhotra as Sam’s love interest.

During the trailer launch event recently, Vicky Kaushal recalled Indian army officers ‘scaring’ him during the Sam Bahadur shoot. “Mere liye sabse badi validation hoti hai when the army approves of my film and my performance when I wear my uniform. We have given it our all. With every minute detail, whether it’s a ribbon or a medal, I don’t think there’s any mistake at all. I used to meet the Indian Army and they were very encouraging and used to say that we are so happy that you’re doing this film. End main phir dara dete the, ‘Theek se karna, (Make sure you do it well), you’re playing our best man’,” he said.

Sam Bahadur will hit theatres on December 1.
