Many Bollywood celebrities have made their place in the world of OTT through their films and web series. Another talented actor joining the OTT club with his new release is Vicky Kaushal. Sardar Udham, directed by Shoojit Sircar, premiered on OTT on 16 October. Vicky Kaushal who plays the lead role in the film is currently basking in the glory of the success of the historical drama. Recently while talking to India TV on ‘You Me Aur OTT’, the actor shared his journey as an actor, his first love and more.

Vicky revealed that his first love is ‘films’. He said, “My first love is films. I am not saying OTT or cinema. For me, it is films till I can touch people’s hearts by being a part of some stories. I keep this dream in my mind.” I will keep going with it. Whether my films will release on OTT or not, I will leave it to the producers. I will be happy only after playing the character in the film.”

Sardar Udham is Vicky’s third OTT release. The actor made his debut with the romantic comedy, Love Per Square Foot. Angira Dhar also played a lead role in the film.

Vicky who leaves no stone unturned to do justice to his characters in the movies also underwent massive transformation and vigorous training for Sardar Udham. She shared that the stitches that are seen on her face in the film are not made of artificial makeup but are real. Vicky said, “I had 13 stitches on my cheek and first I sent that picture to Shoojit Da because in 4 days we were starting Sardar Udham. He said no problem you come with stitches. Sardar Udham Will also need stitches. So the scar you see in Sardar Udham is real. I actually had 13 stitches on my face.”

The film directed by Shoojit Sircar, based on the life of revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh, is being appreciated by critics and audiences alike. The film got 3.5 stars from the film critic of India TV and is indeed a must-see.
