new Delhi: Actors Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri have started shooting for their eponymous film produced by filmmaker Karan Johar on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. The film is a romantic-comedy directed by Anand Tiwari, who is credited with the 2018 romcom ‘Love Per Square Foot’ starring Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Vicky and Trupti will shoot in a studio in Mumbai for a month, after which they will move to Delhi and a few other locations in North India. However, the makers will do a final recce there. Before rolling with the second schedule. The film also stars Amy Virk in a pivotal role. Vicky Kaushal Recently completed the shooting of his untitled film with Sara Ali Khan directed by Laxman Utekar. He will be seen in Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Govinda Mera Naam’ alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar.
Vicky will also be seen in ‘Sam Bahadur’. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The ‘Uri’ actor has been roped in by Aditya Dhar for ‘The Immortal Ahwathamma’.
On the other hand, Tripti Dimri, who rose to fame after her film ‘Bulbul’ which released on OTT platform Netflix, will be seen in another Dharma Productions film opposite Ishaan Khatter. She has another project from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ and Anushka Sharma Productions’ Kaala with Babil Khan in the pipeline.
