Around 20 kilograms of “organic mehndi” powder has been supplied from Sojat town in Rajasthan’s Pali district for the wedding festivities of Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, starting Tuesday.
Kaif, 38, and Kaushal, 33, are tying the knot after dating for almost two years.
While the couple has kept silence about their relationship, according to sources close to the development, the wedding festivities – starting with sangeet and mehendi – will be held from December 7 to 9.
Apart from the mehndi powder, 400 pieces of mehndi cones have also been sent for the couple’s wedding, which is to be held at Hotel Six Senses Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. Sojat is famous for the cultivation of Mehndi.
“We have supplied organic mehndi to the event management company for wedding events. We have supplied free mehndi as a gift from Sojat, Pali.
Aggarwal said that it took them around 20 days to process the organic mehndi specially for the wedding. According to sources, the couple will celebrate Mehndi Ceremony with both sides of the family.
“Vicky has a big, loving and warm Punjabi family and his uncle, aunty (uncle and aunt), mama and maami (mama and aunty) are all looking forward to officially welcoming Katrina into the family. The wedding preparations are going on in full swing from his side for a long time. It will be a joyous occasion for both the parties as both their friends and family will celebrate the couple’s special day together.”
He added that Kaif’s family has also come exclusively from London – his mother, his sisters and brother as well as a close group of friends.
“While it is going to be a private, intimate affair, the celebrations are still going to be grand and they have spared no expense to ensure that they make their special day a memorable one,” said the sources.
The families of both the stars reached Jaipur on Monday night and left for the wedding venue in a convoy of over 15 cars. The distance between Jaipur and the hotel is approximately 120 km.
The couple’s close friends and collaborators, including Kaif’s longtime collaborator filmmaker Kabir Khan, his actor wife Mini Mathur, “Dhoom 3” and “Thugs of Hindostan” director Vijay Krishna Acharya, reached actor-couple Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi. Wedding ceremony on Tuesday morning.
Kaushal’s younger brother Sunny Kaushal’s alleged girlfriend Sharvari Wagh and his “Shiddat” co-star Radhika Madan have also arrived.
The luxurious property, a fort converted into a hotel, is guarded by private security personnel and bouncers. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in and around the hotel.
B-town’s big fat wedding has naturally sparked interest in the media, with various stories speculating about the three-day elaborate celebration, such as Sufi themes for the music, no camera policy, guests on NDA Signing is required or couples sell their wedding photo rights in huge quantities.
