Telugu star Naga Chaitanya-starrer Custody has been making headlines ever since its first look and title poster were released on the actor’s 36th birthday. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Custody is touted to be an action thriller. The film features an ensemble cast of Kriti Shetty, R Sarath Kumar and Arvind Swami in titular roles. Now a new actor is going to join the cast of the film. He is none other than veteran Tamil actor Ramki. The production house Srinivas Silver Screens revealed the news on their official Twitter handle. The post read, “Another versatile actor in our custody. It has been told that Ramki will play an important role in Custody. The actor was last seen in Karthik Naren’s Maaran, which starred south superstars Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan in lead roles. The 60-year-old actor was also a part of KP Tanasekar’s Tamil-language drama Gurumoorthy.

Naga Chaitanya will play the role of a cop named Shiva in the film. Kriti has been cast as his love interest in the film. Arvind Swamy will play the role of the antagonist. Custody marks filmmaker Venkat’s foray into Telugu films. Renowned composer Ilaiyaraaja and his equally talented son Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for the film. Custody is set to hit the movie screens on May 12 in Tamil and Telugu languages.
