Veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik has expressed his gratitude to his fans after his film Kaagaz, which released on the OTT platform, received a positive response from the audience. The actor is currently shooting for at least six projects across the country. Kaushik says that it is interesting to work with the youth, adding that today experienced people have to influence the younger generation.
The veteran actor, who has done stellar work in recent films including Udta Punjab, Soorma, Chalang and Scam 1992, says he wants his roles to connect with the audience.
Kaushik had said in an interview that his characters are more connected with the audience than comedy. The industry veteran says that he is now getting offers to play negative and serious roles as well. The audience wants the actors to surprise them, he says, adding that the process itself will have to adjust.
Kaushik was successful in the capacity of both – a director and an actor – in the film Kaagaz. The actor said that he will also work with director Shaad Ali on a series in which his role will surprise the audience.
The veteran, who has spent nearly 30 years in the industry, says people ask him to write his biography. They find it interesting when they hear the stories of his life, struggles and movies.
When Kaushik returned to the industry in the 80s, it was difficult. Continuing the conversation, Satish said that apart from films, there was no other source of entertainment at that time.
Today he says that there are many mediums including TV, OTT, event and digital media. He is thinking about his biography and will definitely work on it. He has worked in all fields like Acting, Writing, Directing, Production, TV, Theatre, OTT, Event and Radio and people believe that his biography will be very good.
