Venkatarama Reddy: Siddipet Collector resigns to contest MLC elections. Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: siddipet District Collector P Venkata Rami Reddy After leaving the service, have taken political steps.
The respected IAS officer, who had one more year left in his service, submitted his resignation on Monday.
“From close talks with the Chief Minister” K Chandrashekhar Rao During my tenure as district collector, I directly understand his vision for the state from him,” Venkata Rami Reddy, while confirming to the media that he has resigned.
Though no official announcement has been made, it is expected that Reddy will be fielded as the ruling TRS Party Candidates to contest MLC elections.
It may be mentioned that Reddy had courted controversy by touching the feet of the CM during the inauguration of the Siddipet District Collectorate.
He explained that since the CM was older than him, he did it with respect.
He started his service as Deputy Collector in 1996 as a Group 1 officer and was awarded the IAS in 2007.
He is Joint Collector and Collector for the last seven years.
He has been the collector of the district Siddipet, Sangareddy and Rajanna Sircilla. He hails from Odela in Peddapalli district.
