Satyaki Savarkar, the grandson of one of Vinayak Savarkar’s brothers, has filed a criminal defamation complaint against Rahul Gandhi over his comments against Savarkar.

“Rahul Gandhi went to England last month and in a gathering he remarked that Veer Savarkar wrote in his book that he along with his 5-6 friends was beating up a Muslim man and Veer Savarkar enjoyed it. They were actually alimony and clemency petitions. We have reached court,” ANI quoted Satyaki as saying. Told Savarkar saying.

The grandson, Satyaki Savarkar, said his lawyers have moved a city court with a complaint under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code.

Satyaki Savarkar said, “Since the concerned court officials were absent today, they asked us to come again on Saturday to know the case number. We haven’t received the case number yet and we will get it on Saturday.”

Speaking about his grudge against the Congress leader, Satyaki Savarkar said, “Rahul Gandhi told the gathering that VD Savarkar had written a book in which the latter said that he and five to six of his friends had killed a Muslim man. were beating and he (Savarkar) felt happy.”

Talking about this incident, Rahul Gandhi asked whether it was not an act of cowardice. First of all, this incident narrated by Gandhi is a fictional incident. There was no such incident in the life of Savarkar which was of a scientific nature. person. He believed in democracy and advised the Muslims to adopt a scientific approach,” Satyaki Savarkar said.

He said that Rahul Gandhi’s statement about VD Savarkar was false, malicious and aimed at defaming him.

Satyaki said, “After this attempt to defame Savarkar, we decided not to sit silent and filed a criminal defamation case against Rahul Gandhi under sections 499 and 500 of the IPC.”

Satyaki Savarkar said, “VD Savarkar has not written such things in any book, so let it come to the court in which book Rahul Gandhi read this incident.”

He claimed that a video of Rahul Gandhi making these statements during the conversation is available and will be produced in the court.
