When the journey itself becomes the teacher, one tends to learn valuable lessons. To the founder and honoree of Vedanta, one of the largest mining and metals companies, these moments-cum-lessons are too precious not to share with the world around him. Billionaire industrialist, Anil Agarwal took a short trip down the street reminiscing his days of struggle.
On Monday, Agarwal’s Twitter followers got a glimpse of a time when he was hammering his future and establishing himself as one of the most successful industrialists in the country. A picture of a young and emotional Agarwal, along with an anecdote, was shared by the 68-year-old billionaire.
The caption revealed the initial work location that kickstarted Agarwal’s career. It was a rented office of 8 ft by 9 ft located in Bhoiwada, Kalvadevi, where Anil “worked day to day”.

“I will sell and buy metal scrap collected from cable companies and my hometown Bihar,” said Anil. Following the “all work no play” paradigm, Anil used to take “an occasional detour” and go for a walk in Juhu among the confluence of sand and the waves of the sea.
Anil ended the tweet by mentioning the widely prevalent essence of the city of Mumbai. “I understand why they called it ‘the city that never sleeps’.”

The tweet garnered innumerable reactions from netizens. Some praised Anil’s hard work and some took inspiration from it. One user called him an “inspiration for young Indians”.

According to this user, the industrialist’s journey deserves a documentary.

A user came forward with the idea of an autobiography.
Really inspirational, please write your autobiography too, our next generation needs to learn from your struggles, trials and tribulations and most importantly your hard work and the fact that you never forget your roots and share it with the society I am determined to do it – Sunil Srivastava (@srivastavsun) 7 March 2022
This is not the first time that Anil has inspired the hearts of youngsters who are trying to make a name for themselves. Last month, Anil shared a picture of a sepia-tinted Mumbai, wearing Hustle as an ornament. Along with this, he shared the anecdote of his arrival in the “City of Dreams”.
