Police said that ‘Saral Vastu’ fame Chandrashekhar Guruji was stabbed to death at a hotel in the city on Tuesday.
Visual footage showed two men repeatedly stabbing them in the hotel reception area.
The police have started an intensive search operation in search of the killers. Hubli Police Commissioner Labh Ram reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported.
Family sources said Guruji, a resident of Bagalkot, started his career as a contractor and later got a job in Mumbai, where he settled down. He said that later he did the business of Vastu there.
Three days ago, a child of his family had died in Hubli, for which he had come here to attend a function.
