New Delhi: Filmmakers Sajid Nadiadwala and Nitesh Tiwari have announced their next project ‘Bawal’ starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. The film is all set to hit the theaters on October 6, 2023. This is the second time the filmmakers collaborated with each other after their successful innings with ‘Chhichhore’, which won the National Award for Best Hindi Feature Film.
A romantic period action-drama, ‘Bawal’ will introduce a fresh pairing of Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. The film was originally said to release on April 7, 2023, but was postponed due to VFX issues. This film is said to be the costliest film of Varun Dhawan’s career so far.
‘Bawal’ is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson and co-produced by EarthSky Pictures.

The film is being told a love story. It went on floors in April in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Shooting took place in Paris, Berlin, Poland, Amsterdam, Krakow, Warsaw as well as a brief portion in India. According to a report in HT, the film’s action director and stuntman have been hired from Germany. The crew of the film consists of more than 700 people.
HT quoted a source as saying, “An action sequence as per the plan required multiple things like more than 45 hedgehogs as well as innumerable number of grenades, knives and different types of explosives for an important action sequence.” are taken, which will be shot from tomorrow.” There is a daily shooting of around 2.5 crores and it is a schedule of 10 days. This is Varun’s costliest film till date.
