Warisu Vs Thunivu Box Office Collection Day 6: Ajith and Vijay’s box office clash is getting bigger and more exciting by the day. While both the films started at the same pace, Ajith took the lead in no time. Vijay’s film saw a major drop during the Pongal holidays. However, it has still done decent collections. Now, on its sixth day of release, Waarisu has taken a huge leap, pushing back Ajith’s Tamil film. If reports are to be believed then Varisu is currently leading against Thunivu.
Warisu enters Rs 100 crore club, takes lead against Thunivu
As per the initial trade reports, Varisu has overtaken Thunivu by a huge margin. Reportedly, Warisu earned Rs 15.00 crore in India on its 6th day for all languages. This takes the total collection of Vijay’s film past the Rs 100 crore milestone. On the other hand, Thunivu has collected Rs 10.00 crore nett in India on its 6th day for all languages. The reported total of Ajith’s film is over Rs 77 crore.
Sharing more details about the films box office collection, Box Office India reported, “Comparatively the best performance was probably Warisu in Nizam/Andhra where it collected 9 crores nett in two days. Thunivaa previously 61 crore nett in over 5 days. Five days and Varisu collected 77 crore nett. The success level of these films depends on the business in Tamil Nadu and they continue in the next few days into the holiday period and even after that So definitely a stay in this period.Films in Tamil Nadu require around Rs 90-100 crores to cover the distributors and the second weekend will probably be crucial for that.

Thunivu is an action thriller in which Ajith Kumar is playing a slightly negative character. Malayalam actress Manju Warrier plays the lead role, while Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Veeran, Ajay and GM Sundar appear in pivotal roles. After the success of his last two films with H Vinoth, Ajith is back with another promising film. Ghibran scored music for Ajith in Thunivu for the first time, while the cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah.
About Varisu
Warisu is the story of a man who is the son of a business tycoon. He was forced to take over his father’s empire under some unfavorable circumstances. The screenplay of the film is jointly written by directors Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Ashish Solomon. Rashmika Mandanna appears as the female lead opposite Vijay. Besides him, it also features a stellar supporting cast including R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu and Sangeeta Krish.
Producer Dil Raju has backed the film under his banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. S Thaman has composed the music for the film.
