Warisu Vs Thunivu Box Office Collection Day 3: The Tamil industry witnessed the biggest clash in the form of Vijay’s Varisu and Ajith Kumar-starrer Thunivu on the same day. With stiff competition at the ticket window, both the films have managed to register a solid opening. As per trade reports, Ajith’s Thunivu had a slight upper hand at the box office over Vaarisu. With a major drop from its previous collections, Varisu reportedly managed to earn Rs 8–9 crore all over India, the Tamil version received a mixed response from the audience and Thunivu earned Rs 9–10 crore.

For the third day, Thunivu had an overall Tamil occupancy of 51.32%. On the other hand, Warisu did a business of Rs 8.25 crore in India, taking its total to Rs 42.70 crore. They are also doing well in the international market. “Thunivu is now #AK’s highest-grossing film in North America..” updated trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

About Varisu

The much-awaited family entertainer, featuring Thalapathy Vijay in the titular role, is helmed by popular Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, the Vijay starrer has won millions of hearts. Warisu is the story of a man who is the son of a business tycoon. He was forced to take over his father’s empire under some unfavorable circumstances. The screenplay of the film is jointly written by directors Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Ashish Solomon. Rashmika Mandanna appeared as the female lead opposite Vijay. Besides him, it also features a stellar supporting cast including R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu and Sangeeta Krish. Producer Dil Raju has backed the film under his banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. S Thaman has composed the music for the film.

In the action packed film Thunivu, Ajith’s look as the ‘Boss Man’ steals the show. He has taken people hostage in a bank. Police is seen trying to identify him. But it is a mystery that slowly opens up. The action-packed film features Ajith sporting a white beard and white hair. Ajith Kumar plays a slightly negative character in the action thriller, and he impressed the fans with it.

Manju Warrier, Malayalam cinema star, plays the female lead, while Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Veeran, Ajay and GM Sundar appear in pivotal roles. Ghibran scored music for Ajith in Thunivu for the first time, while the cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah.
