Warisu has reportedly earned around Rs 168.83 crore worldwide, including Rs 120.83 crore from India and Rs 48 crore in overseas.

Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Vaarisu had a great opening in Tamil Nadu. Despite competing at the box office with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu, the film garnered excellent results at the box office. Warisu has reportedly earned around Rs 168.83 crore worldwide, out of which Rs 120.83 crore is included in Rs. India and Rs 48 crore overseas. Warisu is rapidly inching closer to the one million milestone not only in India but also in North America. But the situation is quite the opposite in its neighboring Telugu-speaking states, where Varasudu (the name of its Telugu version) fared poorly. Let’s take a look at the regional breakup of Varisu:

As per the fifth box office day report, the film collected over Rs 150 crore in just five days. The film will have another interesting day at the box office today, January 17, as it is a holiday in Tamil Nadu. According to film critics, the holiday season officially started on Saturday and will go on till Tuesday, adding another day or two.
