Vadodara: A 24-year-old law student at a private university has filed a rape complaint against a chartered accountant and an investor in her firm.
The woman approached Gotri police on Sunday night and filed a complaint against CA Ashok Jain and Raju Bhatt, alleging that her drink was mixed with poison, raped and then threatened to make her obscene pictures viral. Went.
Police said the woman had gone to Jain’s firm sometime back to take contact training, for which she was also paid. “The girl had to travel a long distance to reach the firm, so Jain helped her get a flat on rent in Diwalipura area,” said a police officer.
The complainant alleged that Jain took her to a guest house on Vasna Road a month ago and introduced her to Bhatt, who is an investor in his firm.
She alleged that Jain, who is in her 60s, made her drink and molested her at the guest house. He later went to her flat and allegedly raped her. A few days later, Bhatt went to the woman’s flat and demanded to have a physical relationship. According to the FIR lodged, when she refused, Bhatt threatened her with dire consequences and then allegedly raped her.
The woman said that on September 14, the accused sent nude pictures of her to her male friend and threatened to go viral. They also threatened to kill him. The girl said that the accused had also installed spy cameras in her bedroom outside her knowledge.
“We have filed a complaint against the two who are yet to be arrested. Once they are arrested, we will be able to get more details about the crime,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) SV Rajgore.
This is the second such complaint of rape in the city in the last four months. In June this year, a 19-year-old girl was gang-raped at her residence by two of her associates, Nazim Mirza and Dishant Kahar. Both got the girl drunk and forced her to do so. He narrated the ordeal to his father and a day later he committed suicide.
