Vadodara: Hand embroidery work by Kashmiri women on display | Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: With their state in the grip of terrorism, they were facing financial crunch due to lack of work over the years. On Thursday, around 20 women artisans from Jammu and Kashmir will get a chance to display 30 of their artworks in the city.
An NGO in the city of Warsaw has organized the ‘Jewel on the Wall’ exhibition in which hand embroidery work Demand Kashmiri women will be put on display.
“While talking to some friends in Kashmir, I learned about the difficulties faced by the artisans there in these difficult times. They work hard and create exquisite artworks that deserve to be displayed in the world,” said Dr Geeta Bhatt Sheth, who runs Warsaw which promotes craft work from Gujarat.
“So, we decided to organize an exhibition hand embroidery work done by cashmere Showcase your talent in front of women and the world,” said Sheth. The two-day exhibition will begin on Friday morning at the city’s Sarjan Art Gallery.
