Dehradun: Veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat has responded to the resignation of Tirath Singh Rawat as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, calling it a “big lie”.

Tirath Singh Rawat on Friday resigned from the post citing constitutional compulsion as bypolls could not be held in the state due to COVID-19.

“What can be a bigger lie than this that the by-elections in Uttarakhand cannot be held due to COVID and the Chief Minister is resigning due to constitutional compulsion.
