Uttarakhand minister Harak Singh Rawat expelled from cabinet and BJP, likely to join Congress

Uttarakhand cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat has been expelled from the cabinet by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami. The BJP has also dismissed him from the party for six years citing indiscipline.

Harak Singh Rawat is likely to join the Congress on Monday in the presence of Harish Rawat and other senior party leaders.

Sources said the Kotdwar MLA has reportedly been dropped from the cabinet and primary membership of the party after meeting some Congress leaders ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. He had reportedly come to Delhi on Sunday.

Harak Singh Rawat told India Today that he was not aware of the action against him.
