Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra: Maximum number of devotees came to visit Badrinath

Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra: The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee said on Sunday that since the commencement of the pilgrimage on May 3 this year, more than 19 lakh pilgrims have visited the Char Dham Yatra so far.

The temple committee said that till the evening of June 11, the total number of devotees reaching the Char Dham of Uttarakhand is 19,04,253. From the evening of May 8 to June 11, 6,57,547 pilgrims reached Badrinath, while from May 6 to June 11, 6,33,548 reached Kedarnath.

Meanwhile, a total of 91 pilgrims have lost their lives in Uttarakhand during the yatra till May 27.

Uttarakhand government announced to increase the number of pilgrims

Earlier on May 11, the Uttarakhand government had announced to increase the number of pilgrims to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath by one thousand each.

After the hike, 16,000 devotees can visit Badrinath Dham, 13,000 devotees visit Kedarnath Dham, 8,000 devotees visit Gangotri Dham and 5,000 devotees visit Yamunotri Dham in a day.
