Uttarakhand And Tamil Sangam Will Be Taken Forward: CM Dhami

Aiming to strengthen cultural bond, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in road show in Chennai on Thursday regarding the Global Investor Summit during which Investment Memorandum Of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 10150 crore were signed.

The Global Investor Summit is slated to be take place on December 8, 9, 2023 in Uttarakhand.

During the roadshow, CM Dhami said, “During the first session in Chennai, significant MoUs were inked. Notably, a Rs 1,000 crore agreement with July Ventures for startup initiatives, another Rs 1,000 crore pact with the Kshana Group for healthcare investments, and a Rs 600 crore MoU with SRM University for higher education investments, signaling a commitment to entrepreneurship, healthcare advancement, and education.”

“However, other MOUs will be helping the state government to strengthen several sectors,” he said.

Dhami extended an invitation to investors from diverse backgrounds who participated in the Chennai road show, a precursor to the Global Investor Summit slated for December 8-9, 2023, in Dehradun.

Highlighting the spiritual connection between Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand, he emphasized the significance of renowned pilgrimage sites such as Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu and Shri Kedarnath and Adi Kailash in Uttarakhand, which hold deep religious importance.

Dhami also underscored the collaboration between Uttarakhand and Tamil Nadu, aiming to strengthen this cultural bond.

Uttarakhand CM stated that apart from being a world class tourist destination, there is immense potential for investment in many sectors like food processing, auto component manufacturing, education and health in Uttarakhand.

“The state of Uttarakhand is being made proactive and investment friendly with the basic mantra of Peace to Prosperity,” he added.

The Chief Minister also said that the theme of the Global Investor Summit has been kept as “Peace to Prosperity”.

During the roadshow, several senior dignitaries including Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj and Saurabh Bahuguna, Secretary in the program R.  Meenakshi Sundaram, Sachin Kurve, Dr. R Rajesh Kumar, and investors from various sectors were present.
