Uttarakhand achieved 100% first dose COVID-19 vaccination target, says CM Pushkar Singh Dhami

Claiming that the target has been achieved three months back, the Chief Minister thanked all government, private and voluntary agencies involved in the exercise.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday said that the state has given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to its entire eligible population three months ahead of the target.

He told a press conference here that a total of 74 lakh people or 100 percent of the eligible population across the state have been administered the first dose of the vaccine against the corona virus.

Claiming that the target has been achieved three months back, the Chief Minister thanked all government, private and voluntary agencies involved in the exercise.

He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increasing the supply of vaccine doses to the state from August.

Also, 34.68 lakh people in the state have been given the second dose. The Chief Minister also appealed to the people who took the first dose to take the second dose on time.

He also said that as soon as permission is given for this, the process of vaccinating people below 18 years of age will also be started.
