Uttar Pradesh: ‘Yogi magic worked’; Big victory for BJP in MLC elections. ABP News

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is aiming for a sweeping majority in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections, as it leads in most of the 27 seats despite losing the Varanasi seat to an independent candidate. The party has already won 9 out of 36 seats in the assembly without facing any opposition. On April 9, voting was held on 27 seats of the Legislative Council in 58 districts of the state, the results of which are coming today. The Congress and the BSP did not register candidates in the Legislative Council elections, leaving the BJP and the Samajwadi Party to contest directly.
