Sultanpur: A 45-year-old sadhu was allegedly thrashed to death by three drunken youths in Baldi Rai area of ​​Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
He said that the accused have been arrested in this connection.
Police said that three youths Sandeep Yadav, Sampreet alias Bhullar Yadav and Kallu alias Munnu have accused Sadhu (saint) Badrinath Mishra of stealing five thousand rupees.
The incident took place on Saturday at Shuddh Hazari Mauja Anjer village, police said, demanding that they return the money and thrashed him under the influence of alcohol which led to the death of the sadhu.
Circle Officer Rajaram Chaudhary told that the police arrested the accused in 36 hours and disclosed the matter.
