PRAYAGRAJ: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday claimed that voters have given mandate to his party in the four phases of UP elections and would also ensure its resounding success in the remaining rounds.
Addressing a rally in Handia, Akhilesh promised to restore the old pension scheme and announce caste census once the SP government is formed in the state. “The 2022 assembly polls are meant to protect the constitution… I assure that all the promises made in the party manifesto will be fulfilled… Farmers will be provided free power supply for irrigation and daughters who have cleared intermediate will be given Rs. 36,000,” he said.
Claiming that electors have decided to aust the Yogi regime, he said that BJP leaders always spread lies and the double-engine government has only given inflation and unemployment to the people. Taking a jibe at a viral video of the Robertsganj BJP MLA doing sit-ups holding ears, the SP chief said that voters are not going to forgive the BJP government for its misdeeds.
