Uttar Pradesh NewsPrayagraj Police has made 12-year-old cancer patient the Additional Director General (ADG) of the district for a day in a heartfelt gesture.

ADG (Prayagraj Zone) Prem Prakash said that this has been done to boost the morale of Harsh Dubey, who is suffering from cancer. A body kit was also presented to the boy, a resident of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

The 12-year-old, sitting in the chair of the ADG, asked questions about the functioning of the police and also went through the documents. Police officers on duty also saluted him.

Know about Harsh Dubey:

Harsh’s father Sanjay Dubey is an e-rickshaw driver. When he saw his son sitting on the ADG’s chair, ADG Prem Prakash said, “When I came to know about the plight of a 12-year-old boy with cancer through social workers helping cancer patients in the city, I was a minor. Decided to take measures to boost the morale of the boy.”

Harsh performed all the work being done by the ADG rank police officers in his office.

His father thanked senior police officers, the team of doctors treating his son and social worker Pankaj Rizwani for his efforts in encouraging his son to have positive vibes and a speedy recovery. The team of doctors also assured full medical help to the child.

B. Paul, senior oncologist and Padma Shri awardee, Kamala Nehru Hospital, who is also treating the boy, said, “Cancer patients should have patience and courage. Cancer is said to be an incurable disease, but if done right. The right treatment is offered on time to the patient, it can be cured.”
