The jihadi terrorists of Bangladesh have prepared a new way to infiltrate into India. Some terrorists and Mujahideen who have come under the custody of Assam Police have made important revelations during the interrogation. Told that terrorists are using medical and tourist visas to enter India from Bangladesh via Assam. Being a friendly country, it is easy for the citizens of Bangladesh to obtain such visas. Usually terrorists infiltrate from the border of Pakistan and Bangladesh and reach various frontier states of India. After this they carry out anti-national activities. In the past, apart from Jammu and Kashmir, the plans of terrorists have been curbed due to the unmistakable vigilance of the army and security forces in the northeastern states. Meanwhile, in some districts of lower Assam, the police have achieved success by nabbing several terrorists. These terrorists have turned out to be members of jihadist organizations based in Bangladesh and linked to al-Qaeda.

Infiltrators from Pakistan to Bangladesh then come to India
Most of Bangladesh’s jihadi elements have their bosses in the infamous Pakistani agency ISI. Quoting several cadres of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen captured earlier, there have been reports of them entering India from Pakistan via Bangladesh and then Assam.

Infiltration through 3 routes, then reach other parts of the country
Usually, the militants have been resorting to the inaccessible roads of three areas to reach any border state in the Northeast and from there to other parts of the country via Assam. These are- entry from Bangladesh via the Chittagong Hill Track to Tripura and Mizoram or Manipur. The second route is via Dima Hasau district. Many organizations like NSCN (IM) infiltrate through this route. The third Garo Hills route is easy.
