UPTET Paper Leak: Basic Education Minister Satish Dwivedi said the guilty will not be spared

New Delhi: The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested several people for allegedly leaking UP TET exam papers. The exam has been canceled in Prayagraj, Mathura and Shamli this morning after papers were leaked through WhatsApp.

Officials said that more than 21 lakh 50 thousand candidates were to appear in this exam, which will now be conducted after about a month.

‘The guilty will not be spared’

On the cancellation of UP TET exam, UP Basic Education Minister Satish Dwivedi said that he has already instructed the police to register an FIR in the matter. He said that the culprits will not be spared.

Dwivedi said that after the information about the leak of the question paper of UP TET exam, the exam has been canceled with immediate effect. He said that the examination will be conducted within a month without charging any fee from the candidates.

The minister said that the investigation is being handed over to the UP STF to identify the culprits and take strict action against them. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh’s ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar has said that the entire matter is being investigated.

Opposition launched attack

On the other hand, the Samajwadi Party has attacked the BJP for the cancellation of the examination. Party spokesperson Anurag Bhadauria said that the paper gets leaked before every exam.

“Ever since the BJP government came to power, education mafia has come into existence. Paper gets leaked before every exam,” Bhadauria said.

The Congress has also targeted the Uttar Pradesh government on this issue.
