As per the official press release, 933 persons have passed the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination (UPSC CSE).

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of Civil Services Exam 2022, making Ishita Kishore the highest scorer to get AIR 1.

As per the results released on Tuesday, May 23, Garima Lohia and Uma Harithi N have made a mark in this highly competitive examination, securing the second and third positions respectively. Notably, women have secured the top four ranks in UPSC CSE 2022. As per the official statement, a total of 933 candidates have successfully passed the Civil Services Examination.

UPSC CSE is a much awaited exam which is conducted annually by UPSC in three stages – Preliminary, Main and Interview. Its primary objective is to identify suitable candidates for prestigious posts such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ Central Services.

The number of vacancies will determine how many candidates are appointed to each service taking into account the criteria mentioned in the rules of the examination. Consider. A total of 434 posts are available in all the services for the general category applicants. Out of the remaining vacancies, 99 posts are allotted for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, 263 posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 154 posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC). 72 posts for Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST).

The commission has also said that the candidature of 101 recommended candidates is provisional at present. A comprehensive list organized by roll numbers is published in the official result document. Candidates can check their result by visiting upsc.gov.in website. Further, the individual mark sheets will be made available on the website of the Commission within 15 days.
