UPSC aspirant was caught stealing a diamond ring from a jewelery store in Delhi.

A UPSC aspirant was arrested in Delhi for stealing a diamond ring from the Tanishq showroom in Connaught Place. The accused has been identified as Praveen.

According to the police, on Monday, Praveen went to the showroom and asked a salesman to show his collection of diamond rings.

While the seller was showing him the diamond rings, Praveen secretly picked up a ring and put it in his pocket. The whole incident was caught on camera.

According to DCP Deepak Yadav, the owner of the showroom, the police secretly asked Praveen to show his pocket. Sensing the danger, Praveen tried to run away from the showroom.

However, the accused did not succeed and got stuck on the road. A diamond ring was recovered from Praveen’s pocket, following which he was arrested.

According to the police, Praveen hails from Rohtak in Haryana and was preparing for UPSC by staying in a rented room in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar area. Due to his financial condition, he used to carry out such thefts.
