Upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycles leaked: RE Himalayan 650, RE Scrambler 650 on cards

A few years ago, Royal Enfield introduced its 650cc motorcycle range. The company introduced the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. Recently, the Indian motorcycle brand also took the wraps off the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. While the company now has a standard, cafe racer and a cruiser in the 650 cc. lineup, it is building a few more motorcycles on this platform. A new picture leaked from the company’s presentation confirms this. The picture reveals that seven new motorcycles are in the pipeline, and they will be derived from the 650cc platform.

As per the image, a sportier version of the Continental GT with fairing is on the cards. Next up is an adventure touring motorcycle. There is every possibility that it will be called Super Himalayan. Rumors of a 650cc Himalayan have been doing the rounds ever since, the image confirms that it is under consideration. Apart from this, the silhouette of the Bullet can also be seen in the picture, along with a single-seat motorcycle like the Classic 350. A standard motorcycle like the Hunter.

The 650cc powerplant from Royal Enfield is a twin-cylinder unit, and it uses a 270-degree crank angle. In addition to this, the engine is capable of producing a rated power output of 47 bhp against 51 Nm of max torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motor currently does duty on three motorcycles in the company’s lineup. However, Royal Enfield may change it slightly to suit the character of the various motorcycles it is considering to launch in the near future. As of now, the brand is gearing up to launch the Super Meteor 650 in India, and it could be officially unveiled at the Auto Expo next year.
