New Delhi: Upasana Kamineni Konidela, wife of actor Ram Charan, who is expecting their first child, celebrated her first Mother’s Day with an inspiring post.
“I’m proud to have embraced motherhood for all the right reasons. I didn’t do it to fit in or conform to society’s expectations. My decision to become a mother was not motivated by a desire to carry on a legacy or strengthen my marriage. ,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I made the decision to have a child when I was emotionally ready to give the unconditional love and care that my child’s overall well-being deserves,” she said.
In December 2022, Ram Charan and Upasana had announced their becoming parents.
In February, they confirmed that their first child would be born in India, despite speculation that they may consider having the child in the United States.
During the American television show Good Morning America, Ram Charan requested to consult Dr. Jennifer Ashton. This led to speculations that the couple might give birth to their child in the US.
However, Upasana denied the rumors and revealed that she will deliver her child in India. She said that she will deliver her child at Apollo Hospital, where she is the Vice Chairperson of CSR.
She had requested Dr. Jennifer Ashton to deliver her child at Apollo Hospitals Family in India with Dr. Sumana Manohan and Dr. Ruma Sinha.
