UP traffic crisis prevented Uma Bharti from attending CM Yogi’s swearing-in, congratulated on Twitter

Uma Bharti said on Twitter that it was a “small mistake” by the local police and administration, due to which she could not attend the grand swearing-in ceremony.

Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti herself could not attend the swearing-in ceremony of CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Friday. Reason: Traffic problem in Uttar Pradesh. She later congratulated the newly-sworn CM on Twitter, but made it a point to mention why she could not attend the grand event.

She said on Twitter that it was a “small mistake” by the local police and administration, due to which she could not attend the ceremony. “I had come to Lucknow to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Yogi ji’s cabinet. Here, due to a minor mistake of the local police and administration, I could not reach the swearing-in venue due to traffic jam. I wish Yogi Ji Sarkar success,” he tweeted in Hindi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Haryana CM ML Khattar and Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur and other senior leaders attended the ceremony.

Shah’s convoy also had to cover a distance of 500 meters to reach the venue after getting stuck in a traffic jam outside a gate of the stadium.
