UP: Suspected food poisoning in Farrukhabad kills two family members, three are in critical condition. Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: Two members of the same family died while three others fell ill due to suspected food poisoning in Uttar Pradesh’s Uttar Pradesh Farrukhabad District on Saturday.
A five-year-old child was also among the dead.
The incident is from Jasupur Gadia village of Rajepur police station area.
On Saturday night, 50-year-old Irshad’s wife Nanhi (45) had prepared cauliflower curry, which they ate apart from their daughters Majida (18), Rajida (10) and sons Majid (12) and Asif (5).
Within a few hours of eating the curry, his health deteriorated.
While Irshad and his son Asif died after being admitted to the Brahmadutt Dwivedi Hospital.
At present, the condition of his wife Nanhi, son Majid and daughter Rajida is said to be critical.
The police visited Irshad’s house and inspected the place where the food was prepared.
The police have seized the cabbage vegetable and sent it for forensic examination.
The bodies were sent to the district hospital for postmortem.
It is feared that Irshad and his minor son died due to food poisoning.
Police, however, said nothing can be said without the postmortem report and the forensic report of the cauliflower curry.
Police said that all possible angles will be investigated in detail.
The entire area is in shock after the incident.
Dr Haridutt Dwivedi of the hospital suspected that the pesticide may have been sprayed on cauliflower in the field a day earlier. After this, the very next day the farmer sold it in the market.
