Agra: A Samajwadi Party MLA candidate Bah assembly constituencyA case was registered against Madhusudan Sharma and at least 50 of his supporters Agra Police on Saturday for violation covid-19 protocol,
Police said Sharma and his supporters had offered prayers at the Bateshwar temple after getting tickets from the Bah constituency. He had flouted the norms of social distancing and Kovid protocol.
An FIR has been lodged under sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (whoever does any act unlawfully or negligently, and which he knows or has reason to believe) is likely to spread infection to any disease), 270 (Whoever commits any act which is fatal to, and which he knows or has reason to believe to be, thereby causing any danger to life disease is likely to spread) and section 3 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 4 Bah Thana.
