UP Election: Fake Samajwadis Are Remembering Babasaheb Ambedkar For Votes Today, Says PM Modi

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a public meeting in 15 constituencies of Rampur, Badaun and Sambhal districts in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh.

Hitting out at Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), PM Modi said that people of Uttar Pradesh have seen how previous governments have betrayed them.

Some spread casteism and corruption, some gave familyism, mafiaism, goondaraj and riot raj to UP, he said.

10 years before 2017, western UP witnessed several riots, can these riots be forgotten by youth and women in the region? he asked.

In a direct attack on Akhilesh Yadav’s SP, PM Modi said that fake Samajwadis who occupied the lands of Dalits are remembering Babasaheb Ambedkar for votes today.

“But the truth of these people is that these people are giving tickets to the land mafia. These people are giving tickets to those who insult Babasaheb,” PM Modi said.

During the event, PM Modi also said that Bharatiya Janata Party’s election manifesto – Sankalp Patr – will strengthen the development work done by Yogi government in the last 5 years.

“We did what we said,” the Prime Minister said while addressing the rally virtually.

“I didn’t care about votes but for your development. UP BJP issued resolution document for the next 5 yrs, this resolution document empowers the poor, farmers and youth,” PM Modi added.

While praising BJP manifesto, launched earlier in the day, PM said that the Sankalp Patr is inspired by the conditions of the last five years, adding that it is a road map for UP to have a bigger agricultural economy.

PM also pointed out that the Bhamashah Bhav Stability Fund will help farmers growing potatoes, tomatoes, onions, especially those from West UP to get better prices.

Earlier in the day, BJP launched its manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. The manifesto has some long-list of freebies for voters including the free electricity (for irrigation) for farmers and jobs or self-employment opportunities to at least one member of each family, two free LPG cylinders (one each on Holi and Diwali), free public transport travel for women over 60 and free two-wheelers for female college students.
