UP covid guidelines: Yogi government relaxes night curfew by 2 hours – check revised timings

Lucknow: Seeing a significant drop in the number of daily COVID cases in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday further relaxed the Covid restrictions, easing the night curfew in the state by two hours from Monday and allowing shops, malls and restaurants to operate till 10. allowed to continue. As per the revised guidelines, curfew will be imposed in the state from 10 pm to 6 am. Earlier the timing of night curfew was from 9 pm to 7 am. Saturday and Sunday will continue to be observed as weekly holidays.

Besides this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh has also allowed markets located outside containment zones to resume, and allowed restaurants to open with 50 per cent capacity.

Meanwhile, gyms, cinema halls and sports complexes are allowed to open with 50% capacity, while swimming pools are not allowed to open. A maximum of 50 people can gather in weddings. Dine-in facilities can be availed only between 7 AM to 9 PM. Violation of police order will be punishable under section 188 (disobedience of public order) of IPC.

The revised COVID guidelines come at a time when the state reported around 125 new infected cases and four COVID-19 deaths on Saturday, taking the total death toll and infection count to 22,693 and 17,07,225 respectively. No district reported fresh cases in double figures on Saturday and now four districts have no active cases anymore.
