UP Board Exams 2023 Begins Today, Over 58 Lakh Students Registered

UP Board Exams 2023: As per schedule, Class 10 UP Board final exams will be held on March 3 and Class 12 exams will end on March 4

Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) Class 10 and Class 12 board exams are all set to begin today, February 16. 58,85,745 candidates have registered For UP Board Exam this year. Out of the total number, 31,16, 487 are high school candidates and 27,69,258 will appear in the intermediate exam. UPMSP secretary Divyakant Shukla said that this is the highest number of registrations in the UP Board exams in the last five years.

To ensure smooth examination process for the examinations, the UP Board has set up 8,753 examination centers including 540 government, 3,523 private centers and 4,690 unaided colleges. Candidates are advised to download UP Board Admit Card 2023 from the website of UP Board. Without hall ticket, they will not be allowed to enter the exam center. They will also have to carry the ID proof issued by the government.

As per the schedule, the final examinations of UP Board 10th will end on March 3 and that of 12th on March 4. The final examinations will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 8:00 AM to 11:15 AM and the second shift will be from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Students will be given extra 15 minutes to read the question paper. they will be OMR sheet provided.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict instructions to ensure cheating-free exams. As per reports, the measures taken to prevent cheating in board exams include setting up of special control rooms, CCTV monitoring of the entire process and registration of FIRs. Provisions of National Security Act (NSA) and the Gangster Act against those found guilty of cheating. FIR can also be lodged against the Room Invigilator and Center Administrator who are involved in any fraudulent activity.

Sector magistrates will be appointed at each examination center to ensure the fare verification process. These magistrates will submit a daily report to the district magistrate as well as the district inspector of the school after the examination is over so that the daily activity can be monitored on the same.

Along with this, apart from the Principal’s room, a separate room will be allotted for strict monitoring of the examination papers. The examination papers or copies will be kept in a double locked almirah and a CCTV will take 24 hours for monitoring purposes.
