However, at times your child may be using your phone and may inadvertently make in-app purchases. But there is a way to prevent such accidental purchases from apps and games on your device by turning on authentication. Authentication is required to help prevent accidental or unwanted purchases on your device before making any purchases, including in-app purchases from any apps available in the Kids section, even if you don’t usually need it. here are all the details
What is App Authentication and how does it work
Authentication means certain information, such as a password, must be entered on your device in order to make a purchase. If necessary, you can change or reset your Google account password. you can set a Password Or authentication for all in app purchases on the Google Play Store. This authentication also works for in-app purchases.
How authentication works on different devices: do’s and don’ts
The Google Play Store authentication setting also works on all devices where you are logged in. Remember, you have to log in with the same account across all devices. However, if you use multiple accounts on your device, repeat the steps below for each account on the device.

At the top right, tap the profile icon.
Tap Settings then Authentication and then Require authentication for purchases.

Simply toggle on the option you want to set. Set this for all purchases made through Google Play on the device
There are also three options here: 1. For all purchases; 2. every 30 minutes; 3. never
