“But Farooq Abdullah did not miss his tenure as a chief minister. The world knows what Kashmiris are going through and the influence of China and Pakistan in the union territory. Not a single murderer will be spared from civilian killings. The central government will not allow these terrorists to succeed.”
National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said the recent civilian killings in the Union Territory was unfortunate and termed it a “conspiracy to defame Kashmiris”.
“The killing of innocent people is unfortunate. It is a conspiracy to defame Kashmiris,” he said.
A street vendor and a laborer from Bihar Uttar Pradesh was killed in two back-to-back attacks by terrorists in Srinagar and in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
In the past few days, several civilians have been killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, triggering panic in the Valley.
Meanwhile, security forces in the Union Territory have conducted several anti-terrorist operations in the past few days and 13 terrorists have been killed in nine encounters between security forces and terrorists following the killings of civilians.
