Union Budget 2022: Government disburses Rs 51,971 crore for clearing Air India dues

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in her annual budget speech on Tuesday, February 1, announced that the government has allocated Rs 51,971 crore for Air India for settlement of outstanding guaranteed liabilities and other economic dues.

The outlay for Air India has been included in the recently revised total expenditure estimates from the previous financial year.

Air India Disinvestment The process was completed on January 27, 2022, after Tata Sons won Dialect Acquisition of 100 percent stake in the airline, for the state-run carrier in October 2021.
