Unclaimed death of woman bitten by snake in health center Ranchi News – Times of India

Chatra : a Female Which was later brought to the Community Health Center of Pratappur Block snake bite The unclaimed died on Monday evening. The woman has been identified as Kaushalya Devi (50), a resident of village Boudhadih.
Kaushalya’s son Om Prakash Paswan said that his mother was sowing paddy in the fields with him when a poisonous snake bit him in his right hand. As he lost consciousness, relatives and villagers working in the nearby fields took him to the community health center around 5.30 pm on Monday.
Paswan said that when they brought his mother, not a single doctor was present at the health centre. As Kaushalya remained absent, Paswan’s cry for help caught the attention of some youths who were playing in the adjoining field. They ran and started looking for the doctor. After half an hour a doctor Arvind Kumar came and declared the woman brought dead.
Angry villagers accused him of negligence, which the doctor denied. Kumar said that he was getting delayed as he was in the washroom. Pratappur police came and brought the situation under control.
