UP’s second deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya also congratulated the police and STF for carrying out the operation

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday warned that no criminal involved in the murder of Umesh Pal would be spared. Posting on Twitter about Usman’s death in the encounter, Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan also recalled Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s “unko mitti”. Main Mila Dunga” (run them into the ground) quote

The statement comes after another accused in Pal’s murder, a key witness in the 2005 Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal murder case, was killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh police.

“An investigation is going on regularly in connection with the matter and those involved will not be spared. Whoever is guilty will be punished by the authorities,” Pathak said.

“Respected Maharaj @myogiadityanath ji had said that they (mafia nexus) will be destroyed. The dreaded absconding killer Usman, who shot Umesh Pal and Sandeep Nishad first, was also killed in a police encounter today.

Meanwhile, UP’s second deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya also congratulated the police and STF for carrying out this operation and said, ‘I would like to congratulate the police team for this success. Such criminals killed Umesh Pal and later two policemen. Another murderer was killed in today’s encounter.”

The deputy chief ministers’ comments came days after UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath also warned that all mafias and criminals would be wiped out.

Vijay alias Usman, who fired the first shot at Umesh Pal, was killed by the Prayagraj police team in an encounter in Prayagraj in the early hours of Monday.

Umesh Pal and his police security guards Sandeep Nishad and Raghavendra Singh were shot dead on February 24 outside their house in Dhoomanganj area. While Pal died the same day, both the security personnel later died during treatment.

Dhumanganj police station in-charge (SHO) Rajesh Kumar Maurya said on Monday that Vijay Chaudhary alias Usman, accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, was shot dead at around 5.30 am in Kaundhiyara police station area.

Police said that Usman had fired the first shot at Umesh Pal.

According to the police, Usman received bullet injuries in the neck, chest and thigh.
