Ukrainian forces report further intense fighting in the south and east of the Donbass – Henry’s Club

Ukrainian forces have reported progress in the course of their counter-offensive to the south and are continuing efforts to halt Russian advances. Eastern Donbass Region,

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported on Monday additional Russian efforts to undermine Ukrainian defenses in Luhansk and Donetsk, saying artillery, airstrikes and missiles had been used in several places – including in Lisichansk and Soledar. Huh. Huh.

Russian pressure on Severodnetsk, a city where two-thirds of properties are reported to be destroyed, continues – the General Staff said as hostilities continued in and around the city.

As the Russians attacked Ukrainian lines in the Donbass from the south, east and north, there are conflicting claims about their progress.

The General Staff said fighting continued around the village of Komyshuvakha, southwest of Severodnetsk. Social media video geolocated by CNN shows a Chechen unit in the village, with drone footage suggesting Ukrainian troops to withdraw from the area. The Chechen commander says: “This area is now under our control, and we will begin to attack on all fronts. We have completely seized, you might say, Komyshuvakha.”

Ukraine has claimed some success in its offensive in the south, which began over the weekend. “The enemy suffered losses and withdrew from the village of Mykolaivka in the Kherson region, causing panic among the soldiers of other units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff said.

If the Russian army withdraws from Mykolaivka, this would represent a gain of several kilometers for the Ukrainian units.

The General Staff reported that cross-border shelling of settlements in the northern regions of Chernihiv and Sumy is continuing, as well as shelling in the area north of the city of Kharkiv, which has recently been withdrawn by Ukrainian forces.
